Job Description
SUMMARY This individual performs a wide variety of functions in Design Engineering and R&D. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Use 3-D software to design complex designs.
- Work with customer to bring new design concepts forward and solve field issues.
- Design and implement experiments necessary to validate products.
- Coordinate efforts with design, manufacturing, purchasing, R&D, customers, and suppliers.
- Setup and monitor tests and assure accuracy. Summarize results as well as write test reports. Tests include:Vibration
Corrosion
Heat Transfer
Fluid Flow
Thermal cycling
Metallurgical
Strain testing
Other tests as necessary
- Perform and support field testing of products, both domestically and internationally
- Manage, design, update, and operate data acquisition systems.
- Create, modify, and maintain various computer codes. Use of common computer programming languages.
