Responsibilities





Draper is seeking an entry-level Integration and Test Engineer who will excel in a multidisciplinary team environment to deliver bold technology solutions for the Nation\xe2\x80\x99s most difficult security challenges. Responsibilities include the design, planning, and execution of tests, as well as developing appropriate requirements, test methodologies, test equipment, and data analysis tools.


The candidate may be required to support other program areas and roles within Draper and can expect to be pushed beyond his/her \xe2\x80\x9ccomfort zone\xe2\x80\x9d.
Key job elements include problem identification and resolution, planning and execution of tests across the many Draper development programs in progress.


Test equipment you will encounter include: shaker tables for vibration and shock, centrifuges, rate tables, anechoic chambers, and thermal vacuum chambers. Tests may also be conducted at remote sites, on airborne platforms, and on ships.

Qualifications





Required qualifications:
  • A B.S. degree in engineering or applied science (systems, mechanical, electrical, robotics, aerospace, computer science, or similar)
  • Candidates should have demonstrated experience and expertise in mechanical, electrical and/or software engineering
  • Commitment to project success
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness to document and communicate designs, test plans, simulations, test reports, and other technical work products

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in technical writing (internal reports, conference papers, journal publications, thesis, memos, etc.)
  • Failure analysis and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, LabVIEW, VHDL, or similar tools
  • Experience with systems modeling using Magic Draw
  • Experience with any of the following technology areas: inertial sensors, optics, MEMS, embedded software, RF, guidance/navigation/control
  • Existing government security clearance at Secret level or above
