Job Description


TechFlow, Inc. is hiring a Technical Solution Architect who will support our Federal customer in leveraging architecture capabilities to create defined outputs and/or facilitate defined target architecture processes. The Technical Solution Architect will support a Digital Transformation project by providing knowledgeable and innovative insights into technology products or services across all Information Technology (IT) portfolios, strengthening cybersecurity, IT acquisition, IT security, executive oversight, and promoting the use and deployment of best of breed technologies using a unified framework for collectively managing IT investments. The Technical Solution Architect will also lead multiple customer solution design projects in parallel and present proposals to senior government officials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with management and team members frequently to propose initiatives and help establish priorities.
  • Identify current business and technical capabilities, performance gaps, and projected target needs.
  • Create and maintain a common vision and implementation roadmap for various target states and initiatives.
  • Help to assure mission requirements and target architectures drive technology investment.
  • Provide hands-on support for HQ and enterprise-wide business and technical artifacts, guidance, data, visualizations, reports, and studies
  • Facilitate and lead cross-functional activities to increase stakeholder participation and satisfaction to include providing enterprise architecture support, program engagement and coordination, working groups, councils, and Integrated Product Teams (IPT), as needed
  • Capture and build-out target architecture artifacts in a centralized repository while working with other agency EA entities and Components to harmonize EA data and processes
  • Ensure consistency of business processes, standardization of data and information flow, and interoperable technologies through the integration of business and IT management across the agency
  • Support the agency\xe2\x80\x99s ability to develop EA artifacts and deliver against its IT strategy
  • Conduct business and technical discovery with customers and stakeholders
  • Problem-solve novel solutions, architectures and use cases to help customers and stakeholders meet their objectives
  • Provide robust recommendations for engagements while also identifying critical dependencies & gaps
  • Continuously improve the team\xe2\x80\x99s knowledge, methodologies and inventory of solution design blueprints for key customer segments and classes of use cases
  • Independently apply a wide set of engineering disciplines for planning, design, analysis, coding, testing, roll-out and support of information systems architectures
  • Responsible for, or assist in, the designing of interface standards, quality assurance standards, performance standards, and cost-benefit analysis of modem state-of-the art information system
  • Analyze available technologies and makes recommendations of technologies to use and how best to use them.
Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or comparable experience
  • General work experience may be substituted for education. The requirement for education levels can be substituted at the rate of 1.5 years of experience for every year of education. An associate\xe2\x80\x99s degree is 2 years of education, a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree is 4 years of education, and a Master\'s degree is 6 years of education. The work experience to be substituted for education must be in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Information Security, or an MBA. The years of specific experience used for satisfying an education requirement cannot also be used as filling the work experience requirement
  • 7+ years of experience in design, analysis, and implementation of information systems architecture
  • 7+ years of software development experience
  • Knowledge of the DHS EA/FEAF documentation requirements
  • Enterprise and Target Architecture development and documentation experience
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage team resource allocation in the face of competing demands
  • Demonstrated experience implementing successful Program Management techniques
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
  • Balance of business and technology acumen, including ability to articulate high-level technical solutions to business problems and to tie your solutions to program success criteria
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience working in a top-tier technical consulting or software development
  • Strong drive to solve customer problems and drive projects end to end from ideation to deployment
  • FEAF/CEA certification
