WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview): The role of the Staff Services Supervisor is to support the Staff Services Generalist Manager to successfully complete their assigned areas of responsibility on an operation\'s service delivery plan. The Staff Services Supervisor provides support to disaster responders to include lodging, Mission Card support, in-processing, out-processing, updating the DR Information System and Volunteer Connection data management.

This position is located in Kahului, HI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring assigned workers implement Staff Services S+Ps and Job Tools.
  • Support the efficient and effective staffing of the entire relief operation to meet the goals of the SDP.
  • Delegates tasks appropriately allowing others to learn.
  • Support the Recruiting, on-boarding, and placing of volunteers from the local community.
  • Support Lodging for the visiting responder and maintain all applicable records.
  • Updating the DR Information System and Volunteer Connection data management.
  • Supporting Mission Cards (MDA, M&T and MCPC cards).
  • Managing data and fiscal reporting; Maintain Records as required.
  • Supporting In-processing and out-processing disaster responders on the operation.
Standard Schedule: This is a temporary assignment expected to last 3 months to one year. Work hours are 12 hours per day 6 days per week.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Education: Bachelor\'s degree required.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Management Experience: 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.
  • Travel: A valid Drivers License is required.
  • Physical requirements may include the ability to sit or stand for long periods and adapt to long, irregular hours, and frequent schedule changes are required.

  • Demonstrates good customer services skills.
  • Ability to update Volunteer Connection Disaster Management records and operational data.
  • Demonstrates expertise in identifying, organizing, planning, and allocating resources.
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of all Staff Services systems & Standards and Procedures.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office platforms.
