Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Removal Technician to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring safe and accessible environments during winter months through efficient snow removal and maintenance services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in landscaping, lawn care, and various maintenance tasks. This position requires a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions. We are seeking motivated Sidewalk Snow Removal Operators to operate side-by-sides equipped for snow removal, use shovels and ice melt, and work as part of a team to clear sidewalks, walkways, and entryways during snow events. At Greenup Lawn, Landscaping, and Sprinklers, we take pride in keeping our clients' properties safe and accessible year-round. During the winter months, our snow removal crews play a vital role in ensuring sidewalks and walkways are cleared quickly and efficiently. We're looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team for the upcoming snow season.

Responsibilities

Ensure safety protocols are followed while working in potentially hazardous conditions. Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively. Maintain a clean work area and ensure all tools are properly stored after use. Operate side-by-side UTVs equipped with plows and/or brushes to clear sidewalks. Shovel snow from areas not accessible by equipment. Apply ice melt and other deicing materials safely and effectively. Respond promptly to snow events (nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed). Maintain equipment, ensuring it's in good working order before and after use. Work efficiently in cold, snowy, and icy conditions. Follow safety guidelines and company standards at all times.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly wage based on experience. Overtime and call-out pay available during heavy snow events.

Requirements

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation to the shop or job site. Ability to work flexible, on-call hours (especially during overnight snowfalls). Experience with snow removal equipment preferred, but not required - training provided. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical outdoor work in cold weather. Willingness to work in varying weather conditions during winter months. Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
