We are seeking a motivated and dependable Snow Removal Technician to join our dedicated outdoor maintenance team. Duties
Operate snow plows, salt spreaders, shovels, and other hand tools to clear snow and ice from driveways, walkways, parking lots, and entryways.
Monitor weather conditions regularly to anticipate snow accumulation and plan timely removal efforts.
Apply salt or other de-icing materials to prevent ice formation and enhance safety on surfaces.
Conduct inspections of cleared areas to ensure thorough snow removal and identify any remaining hazards.
Perform routine maintenance on snow removal equipment, including power tools, excavators, and landscaping machinery used during winter operations.
Coordinate with property management or site supervisors regarding priority areas and special requests for snow removal.
Maintain accurate logs of completed work shifts, equipment usage, and materials applied for record-keeping purposes.
Assist with general landscaping or landscape maintenance tasks as needed during off-season periods to support overall property upkeep.
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge of snow removal equipment, power tools, hand tools, and landscaping machinery such as excavators.
Experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, hardscape installation, and general landscaping practices.
Knowledge of irrigation systems, tree care including trimming and pruning, mowing techniques, and arboriculture principles.
Ability to operate heavy machinery like excavators safely and efficiently in various weather conditions.
Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and maintenance procedures for outdoor equipment.
Excellent physical stamina to stand, walk, lift heavy loads, and perform strenuous outdoor work for extended periods.
Attention to detail in inspecting work areas for hazards post-removal efforts.
Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues promptly.
