The Seasonal Snow Removal Technician is responsible for maintaining the functionality of our Waitsfield campus by clearing snow & ice of walkways, driveways, and sidewalks using various equipment and de-icing methods. This is an "on-call" position due to the variable nature of snowstorm occurrences. You'll be called into work based on needs resulting from snow or ice storms. This position works collaboratively with the maintenance team and reports directly to the Director of Brewing and Operations.

Works well in a team environment, but can also perform tasks independently Displays solid time management and discerning prioritization skills Is well organized, detail oriented, has good communication skills and has strong follow through with tasks

Primary Responsibilities:

Shoveling assigned areas during & after each snow event in a timely manner Meeting all snow removal requirements for each snow event (i.e., clearing the entire walkway, spreading salt for ice removal, etc.) Receive and follow up on all snow removal tasks assigned by Director of Brewing and Operations Maintain communication with the Director of Brewing and Operations via email, text, or phone call Ensure department maintains a clean and orderly work area, return tools, equipment and supplies to the appropriate storage areas after assignments Working at uncommon hours to meet snow removal requirements Monitor weather conditions and prepare accordingly Assist other departments or perform other tasks as needed

Requirements & Expectations:

Experience with snow removal preferred, but willing to train the right candidate Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted Prolonged periods standing, walking, stretching, bending, climbing ladders, kneeling, and pulling. Must be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Employment is seasonal and requires irregular hours and some holidays. Work hours are varied and may include mornings, evenings and weekends
