We are seeking a reliable and experienced Snow Removal Technician to join our maintenance team. This role involves clearing snow and ice from residential and commercial properties to ensure safety and accessibility during winter months. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, familiarity with various tools and equipment, and the ability to operate machinery safely. Prior experience in landscape maintenance, lawn care, or construction is a plus, along with knowledge of horticulture, hardscape, and general maintenance practices.
Responsibilities
Operate snow plows, shovels, and other hand tools to remove snow and ice from driveways, walkways, parking lots, and sidewalks
Use power tools and machinery such as excavators when necessary for large-scale snow removal projects
Apply salt or de-icing materials to prevent ice formation and improve safety conditions
Perform routine maintenance on snow removal equipment to ensure optimal operation
Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, tree trimming, gardening, and irrigation during off-season periods
Support other landscaping or construction activities as needed, utilizing skills in landscape maintenance, hardscape installation, or tree care
Ensure all work areas are safe and compliant with safety standards during snow removal operations
Qualifications
Previous experience with snow plowing, landscaping, or grounds maintenance preferred
Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, lawn care equipment, and heavy machinery such as excavators
Familiarity with hand tools used in landscape and construction work
Knowledge of horticulture, tree care, irrigation systems, gardening practices, and hardscape installation is advantageous
Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently in winter weather conditions
Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual labor for extended periods
Valid driver's license is preferred for operating larger machinery or transporting equipment
Reliable work ethic with a focus on safety and attention to detail
