Senior Manager, Compliance Business Partner Pharma

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Manager, Compliance Business Partner Pharma, are to:

  • Overarching responsibility to provide compliance expertise and guidance to the Pharma business to enable decision- making that remains within ethical boundaries while optimizing business performance;
  • Partner with Senior Pharma Business Leadership and teams on strategic business planning to provide compliance expertise and advice to ensure compliance issues are considered and addressed throughout the entire process;
  • Provide day to day guidance and advice to the Pharma (PH) business to ensure business operations are conducted in full compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, guidance, policies, and procedures;
  • Monitor external enforcement environment and recommend improvements to Bayer\xe2\x80\x99s Compliance Program based on industry trends and best practices;
  • Combine monitoring findings with periodic analysis and benchmarking of the Compliance landscape in the healthcare industry so as to provide advice regarding emerging trends and the impact on the business and Bayer\xe2\x80\x99s Compliance Program;
  • Provide strategic leadership with integration and implementation of compliance requirements for Mergers and Acquisitions for the business;
  • Conduct monitoring of Integrated Compliance Management (ICM) risk areas;
  • Develop business relationships and collaborate with global Compliance and business colleagues to be an effective business partner;
  • Maintain general knowledge of Bayer products including product labeling, indications, side effect profile, warnings/contraindications, dosing, etc.;
  • Maintain ongoing knowledge and understanding of federal and state healthcare programs, PhRMA and AdvaMed codes, Office of Inspector General (OIG) guidance and all relevant laws and regulations within the healthcare industry with support from Assistant General Counsel, Compliance;
  • Manage multiple priorities through detailed planning, sound business analysis and information systems support and proven operational excellence;
  • Maintain working knowledge of the PH business\xe2\x80\x99s operational goals and objectives;
  • Demonstrate and encourage teamwork by fostering relationships within and outside of the U.S. Office of Compliance;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required;
  • As requested, conduct internal investigations regarding policy violations; this includes document review, witness interviews, subject interviews, and participation at Sanction Committee meetings.

Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a healthcare or business-related field required;
  • Excellent analytical skills are necessary to interpret laws and regulatory requirements to assess risk and make critical decisions;
  • A combination of highly developed communication skills, compliance proficiency, the ability to effectively analyze and summarize concepts in order to persuade internal and external stakeholders;
  • Sound judgment and the ability to influence management on Compliance and business issues often under critical time constraints;
  • Interact effectively with all levels of employees (Compliance Counsel, Senior PH Leadership, U.S. Office of Compliance) and a significant strength in planning and organization to handle multiple projects and timelines;
  • Ability to work independently, ethically, and in partnership with the PH business leaders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience with increasing responsibility in compliance and healthcare, preferred.
