The Benefit Analyst is a key member of our client account team, working closely with the Consultant and Producer to deliver highly competent client service. The Benefit Analyst will assist with a variety of projects and assist in guiding clients as they manage all aspects of their health and welfare benefits plans. This position requires interaction with Pentra account teams, clients, insurance carriers, vendors, and retained subject matter experts. Responsibilities:
Review and monitor ongoing client issues and deliverables
Assist in management of complex accounts and projects
Support key processes and internal activities to deliver client facing services
Obtain or possess current Health, Life and Accident licensing
Apply mathematical concepts in practical situations
Track objectives and assist with developing strategies for new and existing clients
Review client benefit communications for accuracy
Research compliance related inquiries and concepts
Build and maintain positive relationships with internal staff as well as external clients, insurance carriers, vendors, and retained subject matter experts
Seek continual growth and expansion of employee benefits and industry knowledge
Manage and execute other projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
2-3 years of experience working in a benefits capacity
Critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Effective time management skills, including ability to:
Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Work efficiently in a fast paced environment with a high degree of accuracy
Work with various project teams and within all levels of the organization
Successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously within required deadlines
Self-prioritize workload
Adapt quickly to changing priorities
Work extended hours during peak periods
Express ideas in a collaborative effort and willingly receive constructive feedback from others
Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Finance, Insurance and Risk Management, HR, Benefits or related field
2-3 years of experience in employee benefit plan management or related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Polished presentation and interpersonal skills
