The Paid Media and Demand Generation role manages digital marketing projects and processes with the objective of building and sustaining presence in digital channels, and increasing revenue and profitability. Under limited supervision, this job works to develop and improve web content and creation, search engine optimization (SEO), and social media marketing processes to attract potential customers to company websites.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Works to support the development and implementation of digital marketing efforts to build and sustain presence in digital channels and to increase revenue and profitability.
  • Manages the creation, maintenance, and publishing of digital marketing content for both company and non-company websites and social media platforms, ensuring content and display support marketing initiatives to meet business goals.
  • Researches and creates original content and coordinates internally developed content from other areas of the company based on target customer profiles.
  • Performs website editorial activities to ensure all digital marketing content is high quality, up-to-date, and consistent with brand and style guidelines.
  • Locates and negotiates the purchase of external content to advance the organization\xe2\x80\x99s digital marketing content library.
  • Optimizes digital marketing content and text to drive high search engine rankings.
  • Applies advanced digital marketing knowledge to drive sales through online channels and shares best practices and insights with the digital marketing team to advance the organization\xe2\x80\x99s digital platforms.

The Director Integrated SEO and SEM Manager will partner closely with cross-functional business leaders within the organization to drive TIAA and Nuveen\xe2\x80\x99s overall search strategy, bringing together both SEO and SEM. This includes providing overall SEM campaign planning and support and identifying SEO operational implementations to support efficiencies and business outcomes. With an emphasis on delivering disciplined growth within search, this role will be responsible for integrating strategic direction and ensuring alignment with all stakeholders, including internal and agency teams. The role requires an understanding of the digital omni-channel landscape, ability to build advanced SEO and SEM plans and the capacity to guide more complex and sophisticated integrated strategy to exceed goals.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Own and be responsible for driving a wholistic global SEO & SEM strategy and execution for TIAA and Nuveen core websites along with leading the overall execution search strategy for key business partners, campaigns and initiatives
  • Plan wholistic search strategies that support overall Marketing and Business goals, based on data, business needs & testing, that combines SEO and SEM, collaborating cross-functionally with strategic marketers, strategists, data storytellers, and creative colleagues to drive data-driven channel strategies that align with stakeholder goals and drive business impact
  • Ongoing responsibilities for SEO and SEM include:
  • Build always-on quarterly SEO & SEM plans & report outs on performance for TIAA and Nuveen websites and campaigns
  • Optimize TIAA and Nuveen web pages across the different customer journey phases to rank on SERPs through effective SEO & SEM strategies
  • Collaborate with content writers to support TIAA\xe2\x80\x99s content Marketing strategy and ensure the production of high-quality content
  • Identify organic keyword optimization opportunities and improvements as part of new content creation, ensuring paid alignment when appropriate, partnering with the digital team to execute actions based on SEO recommendations and assist with analytics tagging implementation to improve key page metrics
  • Analyze data to understand what kind of content our targeted customers are looking for and how they engage with our digital presence, making recommendations to the digital and content teams
  • Support broader campaign launches, providing campaign priorities, objectives, URL\'s, inputs on ad copies and keyword groups and develop an ongoing testing strategy to gain insights and improve the customer experience
  • Deliver search insights to the cross-functional stakeholders to accelerate organic & paid growth thereby increase engagement
  • Partner with and manage the search agency manager to identify best opportunities across SEO and SEM
  • Present and provide key metrics insights to cross-functional teams, including product marketing managers, digital strategists, content and UX. Establish goals and metrics for measuring and benchmarking efforts.
  • Monitor search competitive landscape, producing insight reports and ad-hoc requests on how other peers are using search strategies
  • Stay abreast of current technology, search, advertising and content marketing trends to keep abreast of potential opportunities for TIAA
Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years of agency or enterprise experience working in search engine marketing with a proven & successful track record in management of SEM & SEO campaigns
  • Deep channel experience with SEO and SEM. Able to craft unified search strategies combining SEO and SEM
  • Experience with content strategy - B2B ideal
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and peers
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, specifically around presentations; creative thinker
  • Effective time management and project management skills
  • Strong familiarity with SEO & SEM tools (Screaming Frog/DeepCrawl, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Google APIs, Google Keyword Planner, Google Ad cloud)
  • Strong understanding of how search engines work and how this knowledge can be leveraged to provide value to users

Base Pay Range: $124,100/yr. - $145,300/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
