We are seeking a detail*oriented and experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs and ensuring that all financial aspects of commercial construction projects are managed effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to identify potential costsaving opportunities.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates.
Conduct site visits to assess project scope and gather data for accurate estimations.
Develop and maintain a database of costs for materials, labor, and subcontractor pricing.
Review and analyze bid proposals from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.
Assist in the preparation of bid documents and presentations for clients.
Monitor project budgets and provide regular updates and reports to management.
Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure accurate and competitive estimating.
Provide support during the bidding process, including answering questions from bidders and clarifying scope details.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction estimating or a related field.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost factors.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Sage, ProEst, Bluebeam).
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
