Unit Description:

Sodexo is seeking a Chef Manager for Hermitage Richmond, a 150 resident continuing care retirement community located in Richmond, Viriginia. The Chef Manager will oversee the daily food production, food prep and will cook as needed. Food service operations include neighborhood dining and dining room service. Will report to the General Manager and manage a kitchen staff of approximately 10 employees. Typical shift will be 8:30-6:30pm, may vary with every other weekend coverage.

The successful candidate will:

  • train and develop the kitchen staff;
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented and be part of implementing new innovative dining service options;
  • have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
  • ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and
  • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.

While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate\'s specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training. Position Summary:

Responsible for the day to day execution of the menus & culinary deliverables. May be responsible for smaller units within a multi-location.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
