Job Description

Under the leadership of the System President, serves as the Vice President for Apprenticeship Carolina. This position serves as a key position in the Agency Head\'s Executive Council. The Vice President for Apprenticeship Carolina is responsible for the leadership of the System\'s renowned program, Apprenticeship Carolina\xe2\x84\xa2. This position provides leadership to the State Board, System President, Presidents\' Council, Executive Council, and System Peer Groups in matters related to Apprenticeship Carolina\xe2\x84\xa2 and registered apprenticeships in the establishment of workforce pipelines for the State. The day to day activities includes but are not limited to the following: Provides leadership, guidance and serves as agency liaison in coordination with other states, state agencies, representatives of the United States Department of Labor and workforce development stakeholders to work toward the alignment of state level goals in an effort to reach mutually beneficial partnerships for the benefit of Apprenticeship Carolina\xe2\x84\xa2 and the agency. Manages the development of processes and effective sales and marketing strategies designed to gain new business as it relates to Apprenticeship programs and opportunities for the citizens of South Carolina. Assist companies with developing customized apprenticeship programs both adult and youth designed to meet the workforce needs for companies in this state. Leads and promotes the Apprenticeship Carolina\xe2\x84\xa2 program internally and externally by representing the agency at public forums, governmental hearings, workforce development seminars, and meetings with pertinent stakeholders.
A bachelor\'s degree and relevant program management experience.
