Vice President for Student Experience

Rivier University (www.rivier.edu), a Catholic university located in Nashua, New Hampshire 40 minutes north of Boston, is accepting applications for the position of Vice President for Student Experience. With a total headcount of 2,300 students including nearly 1000 undergraduates and 500 residential students the University has a strong focus on student success, engagement and a culture supporting the core mission of \xe2\x80\x9cTransforming Hearts and Minds to Serve the World." The VPSE will join an engaged leadership team and campus community committed to the next strategic planning cycle with the theme GO BOLDLY. The VPSE will be expected to start in July 2023.

Reporting to the President and a valued member of the President\xe2\x80\x99s Cabinet, the VPSE serves as the chief student experience officer responsible for providing leadership and vision for the services and programs provided by Student Experience division including Student Engagement and Orientation, Residence Life, Campus Ministry, Counseling and Wellness, Health Services, Campus Safety, Campus Ministry, and Multi-Cultural Engagement. The VPSE provides strategic direction to campus dining services and the bookstore and staffs the Student Experience Committee of the Board of Trustees. The candidate must value diversity and inclusion as demonstrated through a record of collaborative leadership and hiring.

The successful candidate must possess a master\xe2\x80\x99s degree from an accredited institution (doctorate preferred) and 5 to 8 years of progressively responsible and comprehensive leadership experience in student affairs at the director level or above. Demonstrable commitment to the mission of Rivier University and the values of Catholic higher education. In addition, the candidate must possess a broad knowledge of student life and engagement, strong focus on best practices in campus safety and behavioral health and a demonstrated history that would support the University plan \xe2\x80\x9cGiving Voice to Mission: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion" at Rivier University.

The successful candidate will have superior communication skills, the ability to be a visible and engage campus leader, and experience in student program assessment, the use of technology is providing student affairs services and skill in the coordination of special projects including commencement activities.
