"We are looking for a Research Program Manager II for our User Research team. This position will collaborate with members of the CX Program Team, from Project and Program Managers to Journey Managers. These teams are composed of customer experience leaders and product evangelists dedicated to the ongoing practice of discovering, measuring, optimizing, and orchestrating operational improvements and efficiencies. They champion the importance of the customer journey and seek to provide guidance and support to CX teams to improve the customer experience and achieve business goals

This position is 100% remote, work from home (within lawfully allowed States). In some areas of the US, you may utilize a co-work space (when you\'d like).

ABOUT THIS TEAM

The User Research Team at BOLD is responsible for extending the ability of product managers, marketers, and designers to deliver best-in-class web-based tools and customer experiences in a fast-paced, collaborative, startup-like environment.

WHAT YOU\'LL DO

  • This hybrid role of Program Manager and User Researcher is tailor-made for an early career candidate or career changer new to product facing User Research
  • Instrumental in helping the Design team as they apply User Research, UX, Product and SEO/Marketing best practices in design to define and drive a human-centered approach for our products globally
  • You are an experienced program manager with solid systems thinking and process building abilities, possess clear communication skills and a focus on collaborating to create the largest impact while developing customer-focused solutions
  • You have the ability to shape research projects and the desire to build this skill further.
  • You must be responsive and resourceful, highly flexible, and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment
  • People like learning with you, and you like helping people and teams get better and better at what they do. This person will report to the Manager, User Research
Program Manager Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the first point of contact with all research stakeholders to understand and prioritize work, manage collaborators, and ensure timely execution of projects
  • Establish scalable systems and repeatable processes that seamlessly coordinate research across multiple teams in a consistent way
  • Create, maintain, and communicate project information while also removing roadblocks, identifying risks, and escalating issues to stakeholders
  • Manage and deliver multiple projects of different sizes and duration simultaneously
User Researcher Responsibilities:
  • Plan, observe, and moderate usability testing sessions and field interviews including the management of recruitment and scheduling for study sessions
  • Help lead user research project planning and execution across the entire product lifecycle and validate new product features
  • Advance the adoption of research best practices across the organization through workshops, development of just-in-time resources, and informal training
  • Guide product and design collaborators to actionable solutions that respond to user needs and business goals based on concrete, data-driven recommendations
  • Actively take part in shaping and influencing our product strategy
WHAT YOU\'LL NEED
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Program Manager, Project Manager, Producer, or similar role with excellent communication and organizational skills
  • 1+ years of experience as a User Researcher and desire to learn more
  • Demonstrated experience effectively working across lines of difference with empathy
  • A track record of personal accountability, and a strong sense of urgency and ownership
  • Passion for user experience and design, user research, human-centered design practices and workshop facilitation
WHAT\'S GOOD TO HAVE
  • Interest in design and research\'s impact on business, data, and overall insight into marketing statistics are a plus
  • Working knowledge of quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods research
  • Familiarity with various survey platforms and remote usability research platforms
  • BA/BS in computer science, design, marketing, social sciences or other related areas, or equivalent work experience

Individual pay is based on location, transferable skills, experience, and other relevant factors. This estimated range is based on the best available market data and factors, all of which are subject to change. This position may also be eligible for a bonus and medical, dental, vision, life, short and long-term disability insurance, 401(k), paid time off, sick leave, and paid holidays, all subject to applicable plan terms.

Starting Pay Range

$92,000\xe2\x80\x94$122,000 USD
