:

The Staffing Specialist/Recruiter is responsible for acquiring and placing applicants to meet the staffing needs of the company\'s federal contracts. They play a crucial role in reducing turnover by staffing positions with quality candidates who meet the criteria of the positions. The primary responsibilities include assisting with recruiting efforts, conducting pre-employment screening, searching for qualified candidates, developing recruiting plans, collaborating with hiring managers, acting as a liaison with educational institutions, researching recruiting and staffing trends, conducting interviews, coordinating interviews, maintaining data integrity, ensuring necessary documents are complete, and performing various administrative tasks related to recruiting.

Staffing Specialist/Recruiter Responsibilities Include:

Includes the following:

  • Assists with recruiting efforts, including, but not limited, to advertising, employment fairs, partnerships, correspondence with applicants, and other forms of organizational marketing as related to recruiting.
  • Assists with administration of appropriate pre-employment screening, including, but not limited to, background checks, reference checks, drug testing, and educational verification.
  • Conducts searches for qualified candidates through networking, referral ads, internet, and other online sources.
  • Creates and maintains written recruiting plans, tracking and documenting the process in order to handle the recruiting volume and easily provide current information to hiring managers.
  • Partners with hiring managers to understand their business needs and hiring criteria, developing a comprehensive recruiting strategy based on their specifications.
  • Acts as a recruiting liaison with colleges and vocational schools.
  • Researches various geographic markets to identify recruiting and staffing trends. Make strategic staffing recommendations as needed based on findings.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of current trends as related to recruiting, regulations, and industry.
  • Conducts phone screens and interviews for applicants.
  • Schedules and coordinates interviews for managers.
  • Maintains data integrity within the ES recruiting system - job postings, candidate disposition, contact notes, etc.
  • Ensures that all necessary documents are complete and present prior to on-boarding.
  • Ensures that hiring criteria for open positions are met while upholding the Native American preference or EEO/AA, whichever is applicable for the open position being filled.
  • Partners with Cherokee Nation for special projects and recruitment initiatives.
  • Examines new employee job requisitions and follow-up with the hiring managers to find out specifics on the position and drive recruiting strategies.
  • Schedules testing and interviews for weekly new hire classes of up to 25 per class.
  • Directs source candidates through networking, referral, and headhunting on a national basis.
  • Manage all ad placements, either directly or through recruitment advertising agency as appropriate.
  • Manages the scheduling and logistics of all interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Performs detailed reference checking on selected candidates and reviews results with hiring manager.
  • Conducts background checks per hiring requirements.
  • Manages the presentation, selection, offer, negotiation, closing, and administrative components involved in full lifecycle recruiting.
  • Administers and maintains Applicant Tracking Systems for all requisitions and applicant records.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Performs general clerical work including filing, sorting, batching, or grouping documents.
  • Retrieves documents from files, file documents, associate documents with existing files.
  • Stacking file boxes and preparing them for storage in their designated areas within the facility
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Staffing Specialist/Recruiter Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Bachelor\'s degree
  • At least five years of high-volume recruiting experience on federal contracts or a combination of both required.
  • Ability to write effective job descriptions, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, knowledge of compensation and employment regulations for federal contracting, and the ability to effectively communicate compensation and benefit plans.
  • The work environment is primarily a climate-controlled office setting, but there may be travel required up to 75% of the time, including overnight stays.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting. Occasional travel and overnight stay may be required.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $60-$80 annually.
