While this position reports to the Development Accounting Manager, you will have the opportunity to interact with many different staff members including the accounting and financial reporting teams, our regional facility managers, the new restaurant construction and remodel teams amongst others. You will be involved in the month-end accrual process, fixed asset disposal review, the review of R&M invoices for policy adherence, invoice reclasses, and account reconciliations. You will also have the opportunity to track and process contracts and work authorizations and aid in the collection of tenant allowances from our landlords.

Responsibilities

Here\xe2\x80\x99s what you\xe2\x80\x99ll get to do:
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Prepare and book monthly accruals
  • Review and process disposals of fixed assets
  • Review and approve invoices via the ServiceChannel system for accounting policy adherence
  • Reclass invoices and ensure proper documentation is submitted
  • Reconcile accounts by preparing detailed reports
  • Complete ad hoc analysis and projects, as needed
  • Work cross-functionally with departments throughout the company

Qualifications

What we require:
  • 3+ years of general accounting experience with sound knowledge of GAAP.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong Excel skills (v/h lookup, sumif, pivot tables).
  • Detail-oriented and accurate.
  • Familiarity with month-end close and the deadlines related to the process.
  • Associate degree in Accounting or Finance.


What we prefer:
  • Background in the restaurant industry or multi-unit retail
  • Public accounting experience
  • CPA
  • Knowledge/Familiarity of ServiceChannel
  • Experience working with programs such as Lawson or Infor
