Robert Half is looking to find a talented, efficient Staff Accountant to join an esteemed organization in the Manufacturing industry. In the role of Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. You\'ll be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You\'ll also be participating in compliance, reviewing schedules for the reporting processes, and staying connected with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. This position involves a good deal of time spent on producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Based in the Hot Springs, Arkansas area, this company is offering a long-term opportunity that\'s sure to challenge as well as reward effort.

Your responsibilities

- Report on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner

- Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments

- Execute month end close, journal entries, with little supervision

- Support capital lease and monthly payment schedules

- Create monthly statement analysis to be used for management reportings

- Partake in annual closing processes

- Ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed

- Support fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation

- Take part the in implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP

- Be responsible for account reconciliations including prepaid expenses, payroll, and other assignments

Requirements

- Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

- Solid understanding of Sage Intacct

- Experience with Bank Account Reconciliation

- Practical knowledge of journal entries

- General familiarity with numeric data entry

- Well-founded grasp of month end closings

- Foundational knowledge in VLOOKUP

- Proven knowledge of Prepare Financial Statements

- Proficiency in Pivot Table

- Expertise in Microsoft Excel

- Ability to meet deadlines

- Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

- Recent and relevant accounting experience

- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

- Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

- Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

- Skilled with ERP systems

- Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills

- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
