Essential Duties:

Provides support for the VPAA/Provost including answering phones, reviewing e-mails, typing correspondence, scheduling meetings, taking minutes, making travel arrangements and filing.

Designs presentations using Power Point, Prezi and other interactive slide presentations.

Provides administrative support to the VPAA/Provost committees including the Provost Council, Provost/Dean\xe2\x80\x99s meeting, College Senate meetings by taking and preparing meeting minutes, facilitating action items, and following-up with key stakeholders. Maintains and communicates up-to-date committee rosters, archives and related files for Academic Affairs office.

Assists with special projects by conducting research, developing content, plan updates, maintenance or modification of project plan documentation, preparation and distribution of project status reports and maintain confidential files

Assists with gathering information and distribution various reports including enrollment projections, enrollment outcomes, student progression letters, retention and graduation data.

Monitors office expenditures and generates quarterly and year end reports. Assists with the management of the operating and capital budget processes.

In absence of the VPAA/Provost, effectively use available resources to make minor decisions in handling and referring to appropriate administrative staff those matters requiring the VPAA/Provost\xe2\x80\x99s approval.

Assists with President\xe2\x80\x99s Office activities as needed.

Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business or related field and/or equivalent training and/or experience.

Master\'s degree preferred.

A minimum of 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in providing management level support.

Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; keen attention to detail and accuracy.

Demonstrated experience providing support for multiple individuals. Demonstrated experience Microsoft Software including word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, and attention to detail. Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and interact with all levels, including members of the Board of Directors.

Demonstrated skills in judgment and decision making. Ability to be able to handle high level, confidential matters with sensitivity, discretion and diplomacy.

Experience providing support in a higher education environment preferred.

Experience with a student information system preferred.
