Sr. Accountant Needed For Growing Firm
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Norwalk, Connecticut. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, including financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger accounting, and tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with state and federal tax requirements
- Assist with year-end audits and tax filings
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification preferred
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role
- Knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software, preferably Oracle NetSuite
