We\'re on the lookout for an experienced accounting professional to take on the permanent role of Senior Accountant at a growing Agriculture company in the Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be required to perform financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant role is located in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota.

How you will make an impact

- Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary

- Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations

- Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

- Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary

- Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

- Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

- Participate in various department-wide initiatives

- Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

- Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

Requirements

- 5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

- Efficient in ERP systems

- Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

- Excellent verbal, written, and social skills

- Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

- Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

- Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued

- Strong analytical capabilities and discernment

- Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus

- Month-end Close Activities experience desired

- Proficiency in Balance Sheet Account

- Journal entries experience required

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
