Position Summary

:

The shipping coordinator is responsible for coordinating all outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, and working with LTL carriers to fulfill all company shipping needs. This includes the packaging and labeling of equipment, working with brokers to find the best shipping rate, and providing customers with tracking information.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Preparing and providing shipping quotes to the customers

Coordinating daily operations with the Logistics Manager

Creating and maintaining a report of the daily shipping activities

Obtaining shipment invoices and checking the accuracy of the same

Assisting in preparing and printing shipping labels

Checking whether the shipping contents match the shipping label details

Packing and assembling boxes or packages to be shipped

Checking and keeping a track of the inventory supplies

Communicating and understanding the customer's preferred courier mode

Scheduling packages for shipment

Entering tracking information for each item shipped into the ERP system

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED (required)

1-3 years of shipping experience (preferred)

Strong time management and organizational skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects

Detail-oriented and highly motivated individual

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Displaying multitasking abilities

Familiarity with the shipping procedures and shipment tracking software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
