The Oregon State Police in Central Point, Oregon is hiring for one (1) Full-Time, Permanent Service Desk Technical Analyst (Information Systems Specialist 4) position.

What will you do?

You will provide technical support on installation, training, diagnostic help, and operating instructions to users of technology at OSP offices throughout the state. You will troubleshoot hardware and software used throughout OSP including mobile workstations and local area network problems. You will also provide proactive computer support by routinely providing on-site support and maintenance and quality assurance to maintain Department software, hardware, network, and configuration standards. This includes coordinating and providing in-person support to the OSP offices in the southern region, 2-3 times a quarter. You may be responsible for the design, maintenance and support of the Internet and Intranet web sites. You will also provide technical reports and information to management.

Minimum Qualifications (these must be addressed in your resume for full consideration):

Three (3) years of information systems experience in Information Technology, tier 1-3 desktop support;

OR

An Associate\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR
completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field;
AND
One (1) year of information systems experience in Information Technology, tier 1-3 desktop support.

Preferred Skills (these must be addressed in your cover letter for full consideration):

  • Experienced in IT Customer Service Tier 1-3 troubleshooting and support, direct and virtual.

  • Experience with support ticketing and asset tracking systems and processes.

  • Knowledge in Microsoft windows, as well as exposure to Linux and VMware.

  • Experience with analyzing, developing, implementing, and coordinating IT projects and support processes.

  • Technical and non-technical training and documentation writing experience.


Special Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License.

  • Must be LEDS certified or be able to obtain certification upon hire.

The salary listed is the non-PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect an additional 6.95%. Please review the
