Position Overview
You will work closely with the Senior internal Communications Manager, and wide ranging internal stakeholders around the world, to deliver, develop, and measure internal communication plans in support of the Firm\xe2\x80\x99s strategic objectives. You will help to facilitate information flow and connectivity across disparately located global teams, and communicate strategic priorities in meaningful ways that engage people at all levels of the Firm in the part they play in BCLP\xe2\x80\x99s ongoing success. As an integral member of the Marketing Communications Team, you will also play a key role in promoting brand advocacy from the inside out and in ensuring that all communication touchpoints reflect BCLP\xe2\x80\x99s core values and reinforce the Firm\xe2\x80\x99s external brand strategy. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be joining a highly respected and collegial team within a dynamic and ambitious law firm. The Communications Team has a flat structure, with senior-level exposure and there will be plenty of opportunities to use your creative flair, develop new communication tactics, and grow in the role.


Responsibilities

  • Draft and publish news stories for the firmwide audience, paying close attention to timing, tone and accuracy.
  • Work with legal and business services colleagues to source success stories from across the business, for promotion in regular success snapshot communications, including regular Town Halls and firmwide Reports.
  • Work with colleagues from across Business Services Departments, to ensure all employee touchpoints demonstrate consistent messaging and reflect internal brand guidelines in terms of visuals, messages and use of language.
  • Work collaboratively with the People Team to provide content, editorial and timing guidance on people-led communications, including those linked to Inclusion & Diversity and Corporate Responsibility/Pro Bono.
  • Support on implementation of measurement tools such as the Employee Engagement Survey and focus groups.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues from various Business Services Departments to produce communication plans in support of strategic change projects/ firmwide initiatives.
  • Provide coordination, content and promotional support for internal events, including the annual Partner Conference.
  • Provide ad hoc support to members of the wider Communications team as required, including on social media.

Essential Job Specifications/Qualifications
  • Strong writing, editorial and proofreading skills are essential, with proven ability to draft copy for different audiences and in different styles.
  • Good eye for design and understanding of brand.
  • Excellent understanding of the interaction between internal and external marketing communications activities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of using Internal Communication tools, including intranets, video and e-newsletter software, and keen to develop new channels and tools in line with industry best practice.
  • Understanding of a professional services environment and ability to interact diplomatically with internal and external clients at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships proactively with key stakeholders across a complex, global business.
  • Ability to work independently, while also understanding the needs of working in a small, collaborative, global team.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects within a fast-paced environment, to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to think creatively, using good judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent IT skills (video editing and production skills a plus).
  • Calm under pressure.
  • A team player who enjoys working with others.

Travel
This position has little to no travel.

Education/Experience/Certifications
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Degrees or professional qualifications that have a marketing component would put you in a strong position, but are not essential
  • Experience/placements within the legal/professional services sector and a partnership environment would be beneficial but not essential
