WHAT YOU\'LL DO
Practice Area Management & Operations team members keep BCG\'s industry and functional practice areas operating responsively and efficiently. As a member of this team, you will contribute directly to the success of our business through a variety of roles and responsibilities.

The Senior Practice Area Coordinator (PAC) plays a central role in the Global PA team, owning and driving a set of well-defined PA activities and processes, as well as supporting initiatives and projects. You will interact directly with PA leadership around a number of tasks, and you will be part of the broader PA community, exchanging best practices and collaborating with other PAs were necessary. The focus of the Senior PAC in the Public Sector role is two fold: You will be responsible for preparing and managing all relevant PA events and meetings, as well as managing people affiliations and the people champions network.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the annual practice calendar
  • End-to-end management of regional and global meetings and events, Leadership team and management team meetings (can be in-person, virtual, or hybrid meetings)
  • Research of event vendors and meeting locations, conducting site visits, negotiating prices, contract coordination and reviews, maintaining resource files
  • Managing and controlling event budgets and costs
  • Together with Internal Communications (Marketing team), develop and design branded event collateral, invitations, and other marketing materials
  • Helps to create meeting presentations, briefing documents, and meeting communications
  • Manages people affiliation and People Affiliation Database (PAAF) - tracking and updating lead, active and interested practice affiliates
  • Tracking of people pipeline and pyramids
  • Onboarding of new members of the Practice, including BST, Experts, Senior Advisors
  • Support People chair with different people related initiatives, and helps coordinate people champions networks in local offices
  • Manages ECT and Senior Advisor networks of the practice
  • Creating and maintain relevant practice distribution lists
  • Be familiar with relevant databases and regular reporting
  • Other administrative support
YOU\'RE GOOD AT
  • Building strong relationships within the practice, and with relevant contacts outside the practice, as well as with external vendors by leveraging a robust understanding of the PA\'s business
  • Supporting, and in some cases, driving complex, ambiguous PA processes that routinely require independent judgment, trade-offs or prioritization
  • Paying attention to detail, and having a big picture perspective at the same time
  • Accurately maintaining and updating reports, lists, databases
  • Helping others navigate the practice network and make relevant connections
  • Exercising judgement to contribute beyond the PA, thinking analytically through alternatives
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree
  • The ability to handle defined PA processes or smaller projects with minimal guidance
  • The ability to make independent decisions within existing guidelines, advising and handling external vendors / counterparts
  • Strong organizational, planning and project management skills; strong at conceptualization, follow-through, ownership and accountability
  • Solid analytical skills and a structured way of thinking
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholder while working in a global collaborative team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional, service oriented, pro-active and flexible attitude
  • Advanced knowledge in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
YOU\'LL WORK WITH
  • You will report to the Global Practice Management Director and are part of the Global Pulbic Sector Management team.
  • You will work side by side with the Global Assistant Initiatives Manager and the Global Internal communications, risk, and PR coordinator
  • You will support and collaborate with the Regional PA Leaders and Regional Managers, Sector Leaders and Managers, the PAL, the PSPA leadership team, other BST functions, mainly the Meeting and Events team, other global PA support functions
