The Senior Director, Creative Services & Marcom leads the strategic development & execution of the marketing communication group and the creative services team. This leader oversees the identification, implementation, and delivery of best-in-class marketing assets (creative, video and imagery) for product, technology solutions, and services. This role develops, executes, and communicates marketing strategies and creative assets across the business, providing subject matter expertise and recommendations to senior leadership accordingly, influencing them to support best practices in the creative design and implementation. The Senior Director owns the creative strategy, production, and marketing discipline by leading a team of creative experts in a studio environment across multiple domains: creative services/design, photo/video production, and project control (Marcom). The Senior Director understands the importance of storytelling and leads the team in the creation of assets that move and motivate customers.

This position connects the creative approach & Marcom execution with business strategy. They exhibit outstanding professional experience and creative judgment to guide the Creative Services team in achieving the highest possible standards appropriate for all materials regardless of medium.

This role collaborates closely with several internal/external teams, driving successful marketing execution that is fueled by a multi-million-dollar media and marketing yearly investment, ensuring that the Brother brand is positioned appropriately in the market and aligning with our brand image.

Duties and Responsibilities

Creative Strategy Development, Art Direction & Execution

Develop the creative services strategy for the marketing communications organization, using subject matter expertise to tell the product story in a way that drives business revenue, influencing others to support it as needed

Analyze market opportunities and industry trends, applying learnings to optimize and implement marketing strategies and creative content that engages customers and drives purchase intent

Oversee the development and execution of marketing assets across a variety of domains, connecting the creative approach with business strategy

Ensure that we are adhering to brand and campaign guidelines to maintain a level of consistency across the brand

Creative & Marcom Team Leadership

Lead and manage a team of creative designers and photographer(s)/videographer(s) and marcom managers that implement the design and production of material for B2C & B2B products, technology solutions, and services

Oversee the management & execution of a wide variety of creative projects related to the marketing strategy, ensuring that the group meets project deadlines, within budget and on target to the goals set by the communications strategy

Provide effective guidance and coaching in a motivating, educational and positive environment

Act as subject matter expert and spokesperson for the creative services group, communicating and presenting to senior leadership team on a variety of strategies, including but not limited to competitive benchmarking, industry best practices, and trade-offs

Lead and inspire internal and external cross-functional teams while managing workflow; exhibit a "can-do" approach to inspire and motivate associates to excel

Strategy Development & Execution

Develop the creative services & marcom strategy for the organization, using subject matter expertise to tell the product story in a way that drives business revenue, influencing others to support it as needed

Analyze market opportunities and industry trends, applying learnings to optimize and implement creative strategies that engages customers and drives purchase intent

Select the right external agencies and freelancers, negotiating the financial responsibilities of all production expense

Manage the marketing creative services budget in an effective manner, providing accurate forecasts and recommendations for allocation of budget

Identify opportunities to drive day-to-day operational efficiencies to manage the creative services development & production

Collaborate with product marketing, communications, campaign management, and customer experience teams to identify areas for process improvement

Education

Bachelor\'s Degree (or equivalent experience)

Experience

Minimum 12 years A combination of relevant experience

spanning the following functions:

Experience in leading and directing a creative services function within a mid-to-large organization, including design, content, and creative assets

Experience with storytelling the marketing content for an organization, with demonstrated business results

Experience managing, leading, and developing a mid-sized professional team through challenges to achieve success on goals

Experience interacting and influencing across an organization

Experience in managing various creative projects

Experience managing a budget/P&L

Software/Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suites

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook

Other Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Ability to lead strategy for creative discipline, design, photo/image and video production

Ability to successfully coach/manage employees, freelancers, and outside agencies

Understanding of video and photo studio production, directing talent, and the nuanced skill of creating short clips

Ability to drive projects from concept through implementation with a proven track record of success

Ability to manage a budget/P&L

This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week.
