The Senior Director, Sales & Marketing leads sales and marketing efforts for a significant portion of the Industrial Products Division (IPD) business (Garment Printing Products), ensuring strong product strategies are created, executed, and drive sales growth. This role oversees strategy, channel support and development, sales analytics, and be accountable for the sales and marketing budgets for the GT business. While this role is primarily focused on the US market, oversight with respect to both South American subsidiaries and Brothers defined 2&5 regions will be required in terms of collaboration, influence management, and overall global leadership. The Senior Director drives organizational business growth through smart business plans and effective leadership, influencing various stakeholders across all levels, domestically and internationally.

Duties & Responsibilities

Sales Strategy Development

  • Develop the overall sales strategy for the GT sales force, ensuring corporate financial goals are met or exceeded
  • Analyze business trends and understand the customer base, both regionally and nationally, to support effective strategy development
  • Stay current on industry news and changes as well as competitive models and features
  • Develop, drive and lead future category product and market development from a solid vision of market opportunities, driving sales results
  • Influence multiple stakeholders internally and externally, domestically and internationally
  • Develop sales presentations to be used for training, webinars, special requests, and account visits as required
  • Ensure plans and programs are in place to address all special field sales requests for catalogs, competitive comparisons, application stories and competitive analysis as needed
  • Track actual performance against expectations and modify strategies, territories, or incentive plans in response
Sales Leadership
  • Lead the day-to-day activities of the domestic GT sales team, developing opportunities nationwide; manage daily communications and ensure team success
  • Build a strong team through ongoing feedback, support, and guidance with the goal of facilitating both business and personal growth; set realistic goals and establish expectations; help team members improve sales and work quality
  • Develop, review, monitor, and enforce policies, practices, and procedures that impact the organization
  • Consistently contribute strategic ideas and feedback to executive team
  • Meet and exceed customer expectations and demands
Marketing Leadership
  • Provide ongoing feedback, support, and guidance to marketing team with the goal of facilitating both business and personal growth; set realistic goals and establish expectations; help team members improve sales and work quality
  • Drive business goals and create cohesive strategies across sales and marketing teams to drive success
  • Lead and manage the Product Marketing team by making sure proper launch plans are developed and executed according to plan making improvements to marketing guidelines, brand guidelines, and marketing brief processes as needed
  • Focus on developing and implementing plans that will support incremental product category sales/profit and increased market development
Reporting, Budgeting, & Forecasting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for various internal groups
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for various regional and global meetings
  • Create tools that enhance business knowledge among direct/indirect reports and drive insight in decision making
  • Study historical sales data, establish sales quotas, and plan future sales targets
  • Direct best practices among responsible team members to maintain appropriate inventory levels and sales forecast accuracy to support business needs
Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor\'s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, or a related field
Experience
  • A combination of relevant experience spanning the following areas:
- Experience leading a large national sales function, across multiple markets
- Experience leading a multiple function
- Experience developing and executing on robust sales strategies
- Experience meeting and exceeding multi-million dollar sales targets
- Experience leading, managing, and developing a large team

Software/Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System (Salesforce preferred)
Other Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
  • Expert knowledge in all aspects of sales management, including but not limited to: forecasting, goal setting, team planning, account mapping, resource management, time management, selling to the relevant executive, conducting executive briefings
  • Strong resilience and an aptitude for crafting creative strategies to achieve business growth in a declining market
  • Strong ability to strategically analyze data, think and execute on long-term action plans
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong communication skills (written/verbal/interpersonal) and ability to build relationships internally and externally
  • Strong ability to deliver effective presentations at the executive level
  • Ability to lead, develop and mentor others

This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers.
