McLaughlin Research Corporation has an immediate opening for a full time entry-level Visitor Control Specialist supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Crane Division. The Visitor Control Specialist assigned to this specific job position will be responsible for the protection of and access to highly classified and sensitive equipment, technology and information. Access control of the facility, technology and information is extremely regulated in a controlled environment and only highly qualified Visitor Control Specialists are charged with this critical responsibility. Rigorous adherence and understanding of security protocols is mandatory and candidates for this position will undergo an extensive vetting process by the government. Specific duties include: On a daily basis, perform visitor access control services at the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Crane Division Visitor Control Center including verifying identities, issuing visitor badges, briefing visitors on prohibited items regulations and conducting required screenings upon entry to the facility. On a daily basis, collect ID cards, badges, and passes returned to the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Crane Division Visitor Control Center. The MRC Visitor Control Specialist must perform many tasks including preserving order and enforcing regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. Other duties include working at an entry control point to a secured facility, answering phones, greeting guests and assisting employees. Job Requirements
