Job Summary and Qualifications

As Nurse Manager for Behavioral Health at our facility you will be leading a team that has a passion for creating positive patient interactions and a dedication to caring for the multi-faceted wellness of those we serve. In this role:

• You will supervise RN\xe2\x80\x99s, LPN\xe2\x80\x99s, Mental Health Techs, and other assigned personnel, focusing on planning, directing, and managing staff to assure quality service.
• You will be responsible for meeting Joint Commission standards, complying with state regulations, and complying with corporate policies and procedures.
• You will coordinate the scheduling of current staff to support operational needs and stay within budgetary guidelines.
• You will monitor all staff performance on a continual bases and provide for professional growth and development of staff through identification of needs and implementation of continuing education programs.
• You will manage supplies and equipment on the units and recommend improvements as needed, making recommendations concerning budgeting, cost and financial matters.
• You will work to build and maintain sound organizational relationships within the hospital and community.
• You will assist with monitoring quality metrics, ensuring compliance with core measures, and developing/implementing Performance Improvement projects to support quality assurance and utilization review operations.

Qualifications:

• Current State of Utah Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Nursing or Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in nursing accompanied by 5+ years of Psychiatric nursing experience required.
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
• Certification in Non Violent Physical Crisis Intervention within 30 days of hire.
• Current Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License.
• Minimum 3 years of hospital nursing experience.
• 1 year of management experience preferred.
