Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Data Associate.

The Research Data Associate (RDA) will be responsible for conducting empirical research under direct supervision of the Principal Investigator on a NIMH funded project within the Stress & Affective Neuroscience Lab in the Department of Psychiatry. The RDA will assist with the screening and recruitment of healthy participants, data entry in REDCap and conducting study visits/assessments including questionnaires, cognitive and decision-making tasks and saliva sample collection.
They will ensure the accurate execution of research protocols in accordance with Good Clinical Practices, HIPAA, and required obligations to patient, Principal Investigator, research team and the sponsor.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides support for federally-sponsored research on stress and decision-making including oversight of research data, organization of regulatory materials and study folders
  • Recruitment and screening of study participants (healthy dieters)
  • Conducting phone interviews to assess fit with study inclusion/exclusion criteria and schedule participants for initial study visit
  • Conducting study sessions (i.e., administering questionnaires, cognitive assessments and decision tasks)
  • Programming/editing computerized tasks (E-Prime) and questionnaires (Qualtrics, REDcap)
  • Complete all regulatory files and binders as per departmental rules and guidelines, clinical trial guidelines, and IRB guidelines
  • Provide support to study team and PI associated with study procedures
  • Prepares and oversees submission of documents required by Institutional Review Board and communicates with the IRB regarding ongoing studies
  • Keep records of all study documentations and documents related to IRB
  • Conducts literature reviews for papers and grants submissions under the direction of the PI
  • Track participant flow and enrollment; schedule and consent participants
  • Performing data entry, organization, cleaning, and basic analyses
  • Coordinate participant reimbursements
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have an Associate\'s degree plus one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literate with good interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree, preferably in science, public health, health education or a related field. Prior experience in a health care settings and/or research level interviews
Prior patient education experience
Prior experience working in research laboratory or related clinical setting preferred
Experience with data management preferred

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $45,600.00 - $49091.90 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
