Job Description








The Regional Program Coordinator offers assistance and support to the academic and administrative processes of a department or a cluster of academic program. Their main tasks will be concentrated in five main areas: Teaching, Student Retention, Curriculum, Accreditation and Learning Assessment Processes. This position is responsible for teaching a minimum of two online classes per quarter. The work schedule will be agreed with the Dean of Academic Affairs, according to the institutional needs but will involve on campus and remote work. The Regional Program Coordinator supports the campus (es) or region assigned providing support for the online students in the bachelors and associates programs. Student persistence and retention of students monitored daily. The Regional Program Coordinator will oversee students\' academic programs and advise students; provide support to the program director; and perform communications and professional support tasks. The Regional Program Coordinator is a full-time exempt employee and directly accountable to the Dean of Academic Affairs and Online Management Team Minimum requirements:

  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Computer Science or IT, valid certificates in CompTIA A+, N+, S+, Microsoft Office, Web Design.
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience at the college level.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in field
  • Hybrid schedule
Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Regional Program Coordinator will monitor daily student attendance and academic progress for students in degree programs
  • Provide faculty with the necessary support and evaluate the data to ensure consistent student attendance and retention.
  • Assist Academic Department with Faculty Development and Support: New Faculty Orientation, Training Sessions, classroom observations and monthly instructor class assignments.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual program outcomes including but not limited to retention, placement, certifications, monthly benchmarks and annual goals.
  • Prepare, plan and teach a minimum of two classes per quarter, offered in a selected modality by adhering to instructor guidelines as described in the FTC Faculty Handbook
  • Conduct one program meeting with general education faculty per month to review curriculum, retention and program outcomes and assessments
