Veterinary Innovative Partners (VIP) owns and operates over 35 boutique veterinary practices, each with its own culture and identity. We pride ourselves on our outstanding reputation in the veterinary industry, and the quality we deliver to our clients. The Regional Manager of Operations is the front line of support for the local partners, practice managers, and hospital teams. This role plays an integral role in assisting each hospital team to grow revenues, provide excellent client experience, and deliver high standards of care. This role will support our thriving and expanding hospital group in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and the surrounding region.

The Regional Manager oversees the general business operations of 8-12 locations throughout their region. This includes any current company hospitals and upcoming acquisitions. We are looking for a motivated and energetic individual that will fit well with our equally enthusiastic hospital teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership:

  • Mentor, support and oversee the practice managers and the daily operations of assigned hospitals
  • Oversee personnel management in recruiting, hiring, training and employee relations
  • Maintain regular communication with doctors and support staff to review practice trends and performance objectives
  • Act as a key resource and partner for practice managers to help them manage staff and build strong relationships within the clinic
Financial and Business Objectives:
  • Oversee and manage budgets, inventory, financial goals, and supply chain management
  • Collaborate with Director of Field Operations, Vice President of Operations and PMs/doctors to strategize, develop, review, and implement goals to increase revenue
  • Oversight of revenue growth, pricing, and overall hospital cost management
  • Motivate and support management team to achieve ongoing growth and profitability
Growth and Planning:
  • Cultivate a culture that promotes and grows productive enthusiastic staff members while achieving retention success
  • Support practice managers and staff relations
  • Facilities management in conjunction with facilities team and practice managers
  • Take an active role in team and hospital meetings scheduled regularly in each practice
  • Travel to locations to assess hospital flow, meet with staff and managers and build relationships while monitoring goal success
  • Responsible for post-acquisition integration process for newly acquired clinics in region
Travel:
  • Willingness and ability to be at individual locations as needed, but no less than 2 visits per month at each location.
Requirements

Education & Experience
  • 5+ years working in a veterinary practice
  • 2+ years management experience
  • Multi location operational experience
  • Experience managing P&L, budget, personnel, and team building
  • Willingness to spend time in the field visiting and supporting practices in region
  • Ability to act as the manager at the location should there be a leadership transition

  • Ability to implement processes and motivate to ensure company goals are met
  • Ability to collaborate with all team members on both the practice and administrative level
Benefits

Competitive compensation offered.

Compensation of $95,000 - $140,000 annually, DOE
