Program Director - Facilities

This is a leadership position which requires planning, coordinating, and leading the daytime, after-school, evening and weekend programs; to include direct supervision of participants, contractors and staff; reviewing and maintaining administrative records; providing a safe and supportive environment; and works closely with parents, and partnering organizations. Strong activity planning, behavior management, administrative skills and communication skills are required. This position is performed under the general supervision of a Recreation Career Staff.

Program Site Directors (Kids Day Out, TR Break Camps) - Countywide Programs-Therapeutic Recreation and Inclusion Services

This is a leadership position which requires planning, coordinating, and leading the overall day to day operations of a comprehensive out-of-school program; to include direct supervision of participants, contractors, and staff; reviewing and maintaining administrative records; providing a safe and supportive environment; and works closely with parents and partnering organizations. Strong activity planning, administrative skills and communication skills are required. CPR, AED and First Aid certified preferred; trainings are available.

Afterschool Program Assistant Site Directors/Liaison-Youth Development

These positions are responsible for customer service, general supervision of participants, and the implementation of the programming plan in support of the Site Director. Expectations include but not limited to leading positive youth development

activities such as intramural sports, performing and creative arts, youth advisory groups; providing a clean safe and supportive environment; proper use and maintenance of equipment; assist with the set-up, break-down, cleanliness and organization of shared space. Assistant Directors are expected to assist with the supervision of employees as well as supporting the Program Director in other administrative duties.

Parent Engagement Leader-Youth Development

These positions work with program directors to enhance parent and volunteer engagement within the afterschool program and monitors attendance. Expectations include but are not limited to maintaining records and documentation such as registrations, attendance, incident reports, outreach attempts, tracking volunteer hours and creating newsletters; supporting daily program management efforts and working closely with parents, school administrations and partner organizations. Strong background in coordinating and communicating with parents.

The hourly rate for this SEASONAL/TEMPORARY position is $21.01.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: 4160 hours (two years) of relevant work experience as an instructor or supervisor in one or more specialized recreation activities.

Education: Completion of two years of college. (60 Credits)

Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
