Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and Live Nation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater.

COTA is seeking an experienced PR & Communications Manager to assist the Director of Public Relations in media relations and communications strategy.

It is encouraged applicants have at least 4 years of experience developing public relations and communications materials, as well as at least 2 years of strategic communications experience, hosting media fam tours, pitching to media, and creative content strategy in the sports and entertainment indusrty. Additionally, applicants should have some leadership experience and thrive in a collaborative and creative atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

• Media relations, including outreach, pitching, on-site handling, and credentialling.
• PR and communications strategy development for more targeted and COTA-owned projects, such as Peppermint Parkway, COTA Karting, Cars & Coffee, and Bike Night.
• Identify and create story angles as part of larger public relations strategy
• Content development for high-level interviews.
• Assisting with crisis communications strategy.
• Developing an annual media event and owning the strategy and production.
• Influencer/celebrity/VIP relations including outreach, credentialling and ticketing.
• Help delegate to coordinators and interns.

Candidate Background and Abilities:

• Bachelor\'s degree in public relations, marketing, communications, or journalism
• Excellent understanding of public relations field and sports/entertainment industry
• Excellent writing and editing skills: attention to detail and brand voice
• Ability to collaborate with team and lead projects with multiple team members in a fast-paced environment
• Strategic thinker with strong project management skills willing to learn something new every day
• Highly professional demeanor, able to work successfully with a wide variety of constituents including sponsors, vendors, media, volunteers and professional consultants

Preferred Experience:

• Master\'s degree in public relations, communications, or related field
• Experience working with high-profile entertainment clients and/or the music industry
