Location: North America Headquarters - La Vergne/Nashville, TN (no remote option)

The Manager, Public Relations & Communications is responsible for day-to-day public relations both internally and externally to generate publicity for SVP Worldwide and its brands. They will work with the media on brand launches and create press releases to create buzz for our products and brands for SVP Worldwide. The key measures will include impressions for North America as well as global expansion of PR and communications activities.

Job Responsibilities

Public Relations and Communications

Develop and execute a public relations strategy that drives high engagement for all SVP Worldwide brands.

Maintain a favorable public image for SVP Worldwide through external communications

Evaluate internal and external communication forms to improve awareness of SVPWorldwide brands and products.

Develop stories and ideas to pitch for media outlets, news releases, etc.

Arrange publicity opportunities such as speaking engagements and product placement in print and TV

Keep SVP Worldwide employees updated with regular communications about public relations, internal and external communications activities

Develop and maintain successful relationships with media and other outlets

Manage paid partnerships for North America

Develop and cultivate influencer relationships to extend the reach of SVP worldwide.

Seek and recommend influencers and brand ambassadors to develop new opportunities supporting key launches, products, and brands.

Stay up-to-date with trends and generate new ideas to draw the audience\xe2\x80\x99s attention

Align with the Global Social Media Manager to ensure consistent messaging across all forms of media.

Collaborate with brand, product/category, executive leadership, and sales managers to create content that supports short-term and long-term goals

Manage a team of two communication specialists

Campaigns

Support the production of marketing campaigns with press releases and story ideas

Writing, editing, and proofreading content

Other

Maintain department files of completed assignments; maintain accurate logs of work in progress such as time devoted to projects and materials used

You Bring:

Bachelor degree

7-10 years of proven public relations experience

Strong interpersonal and social skills

Efficient multi-tasking and time management abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Professional demeanor and public speaking abilities

Microsoft Office experience (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Familiarity with key social media tools (IG, Tiktok, Facebook, etc.)

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Self-directed, motivated, and the ability to organize multiple tasks and projects

Works well in a cross-functionally collaborative environment

You will need to be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation, including:

Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, copier/printer etc as well as have the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time

Communicate effectively with customers through multiple forms of technology, including telephone and computer. Must be able to receive and convey information

Required to retrieve or reposition products like sewing machines weighing up to 50 pounds

Work Environment/Location/Flex Arrangement:

SVP Worldwide offers a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. As part of our Flexible Workplace Policy, this position will be hybrid based in our company HQ in LaVergne, TN. Moving to new Nashville headquarters by the end of 2023.
