Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Manager.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Manager (Clinical Trial).The New York University Grossman School of Medicine\'s Center for Healthful Behavior Change, housed in the Institute for Excellence in Health Equity, is leading a new initiative that involves partnerships with several large health care centers including the Family Health Centers at NYULH and NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation. The purpose of this project is to guide the implementation of a maternal health community implementation project. We will engage diverse health system stakeholders and community partners in learning hubs, study implementation, and best practice dissemination with the goal of improving maternal health outcomes and reducing maternal health disparities in the New York City catchment area. We are seeking candidates with research interests in maternal health, health equity, and dissemination and implementation science, with an emphasis on community engagement. The successful candidate will join a robust transdisciplinary team and other scientists.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the Investigative Team to ensure research priorities and deliverables are achieved.
  • Develops and maintains a system for management and communications of a multi-partnership to ensure successful implementation.
  • Manages the coordination and completion of project activities on time, setting deadlines, assigning and tracking responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing the progress of project.
  • Prepares progress reports to funding agencies and presentations to sponsoring and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepares and provides reports to all necessary parties (e.g., the principal investigator, sponsoring agency, etc.) on the progress of the study as needed.
  • Organizes and leads regular project meetings.
  • Lead the development of training and technical assistance.
  • Maintains awareness of study regulatory status and keeps an up-to-date copy of regulatory documents.
  • Develops and oversees submission of necessary IRB documents, including follow-up with study staff to obtain appropriate paperwork and information, and completion of continuation paperwork.
  • Serve as liaison for clinical sites.
  • Create mechanisms to monitor and evaluate partnership experience.
  • Recruit, train, monitor and supervise a staff of Interventionists.
  • Attends monthly meetings with study sponsor.
  • Cultivate relationships and identify new collaborators and partners including municipal agencies.
  • Assist in the writing of research manuscripts, presentations, and other scholarly products.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a 1. Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent in healthcare administration or related discipline.
2. Minimum of four years progressively responsible related experience coordinating clinical/research trials studies.
3. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as World, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications.
4. Effective verbal and written communication skills, and strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently.
6. Commitment to continuous learning as required by department administration.
7. Ability to make decisions independently.
8. Ability to manage time, multi task and prioritize work.
9. Strong understanding and knowledge base of coordination requirements associated with clinical/research trials.
10. Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems; ability to work well under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:
Masters or PhD in related field. Ability to translate complex data topics into actionable tasks across multiple projects. Training involving qualitative methods. Demonstrated experience coordinating successful partnerships with outside partners and/or government entities. Knowledge of Black, Hispanic or other minority health and an understanding of social determinants. Knowledge of nutrition and lifestyle counseling. Experience with large complex research trials and implementation science.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $76,721.84 - $91,052.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
