PRA is seeking to hire individuals at the manager level on a full-time basis for our growing New York City office. Successful candidates are industrious, intelligent and precise and have a combination of some or all of the following attributes:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or other relevant discipline with corresponding experience
  • Strong communication skills and an understanding of Construction Project Delivery Risks
  • Proficiency in utilizing software, especially MS Excel to organize, manage and communicate information
  • Ability to understand and communicate information contained in design documents, contracts, etc.
  • Experience working, as a Construction Manager, Estimator, Project Manager, Project Controls/Cost Manager, or other similar position, on a team to deliver complex projects
Roles and Responsibilities: The candidate will be working as a member of the PRA team as Project Manager leading his/her own set of assigned projects reporting to the Senior Project Manager and Partner In Charge of this account; The Project Management team will be supported by a team of experienced Project Controls professionals throughout the project delivery process. Responsibilities include interfacing directly with the Global Facilities\xe2\x80\x99 representatives(Owner) and internal clients encompassing Business Units, Procurement, Legal Departments within the Client\xe2\x80\x99s organizational structure; implement state-of-the-art project management processes and adhere to Owner\xe2\x80\x99s procedures and requirements; fully own the ultimate project delivery with consistent results and high level of predictability from project to project; communicate and report on project health and delivery status within the organization and with the Owner ; Project Manager will lead projects with a risk management approach leveraging the entire project team for its various competencies and assigned responsibilities. The Project Manager will be responsible to:
  • Interact with corporate representatives (\xe2\x80\x9cOwner\xe2\x80\x9d) and various business units to understand and collect the business unit requirements and develop goals and formulate commercially viable solutions to meet the Owner\xe2\x80\x99s objectives
  • Gather project information concisely and work with the project team to deliver to the Owner preliminary project delivery plan, high level costs, timeline and identify potential delivery risks
  • Actively Coordinate communications among all design professionals, contractors, material\xe2\x80\x90men, vendors and other third parties in connection with design, procurement, construction, and delivery of materials
  • Enable the performance of Team Constituents by driving deliverables and adherence to agreed-upon standards, guidelines and procedures
  • Ensure that corporate branding, architectural, MEPS engineering, IT, Security, AV standards and Art are reviewed and adopted by design professionals
  • Provide vendor performance & installation quality control and track on\xe2\x80\x90time delivery of the project(s)
  • Manage all contracts in place and implement any changes in compliance with the Owner\xe2\x80\x99s pre-established work requests and approval protocols, issuing clear scope variance descriptions and cost impacts, if any
  • Prepare and issue weekly project meeting minutes to all project team members and vendors assigned to the project
  • Track, review and follow up on professional team deliverables for both timeliness and quality to enhance project predictability
  • Track all project materials and equipment procurement schedule including long lead-times and critical equipment deliveries
  • Ensure timely personnel and personal property relocations and moves
  • Conduct walkthroughs with Team Members for scope development and resolution of issues
  • Initiate technical review meetings and discussions for resolution of project issues
  • Create and manage the storage of project related information (emails, drawings, meeting documentation, construction logs, etc.) in an effective and comprehensive manner.
Minimum requirements: The Candidate shall:
  • Possess a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrate that he/she has undertaken similar roles such as working for construction managers, real estate developers, general contractors, project management firms or owners
  • The candidate shall have significant experience with projects or portfolios totaling greater than $10M in construction cost
  • Possess first hand understanding of the industry\'s supply chain down to the subcontractor\'s level
  • Be able to demonstrate client relationship-management skills and experience
  • Be a true team player, adaptable and able to promptly recognize and prevent recurring and high impact project risks
  • Be intelligent, proactive problem solver and able to see the big picture by focusing on the client\xe2\x80\x99s competing priorities
  • Be an effective leader, communicator, manage situations under pressure and deal with multiple issues at the same time
  • Understand and be able demonstrate how to manage budgets, scheduling tools and bid process
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to successfully pass client standard screening process and sign codes of conduct
