Job Description




The Eden Prairie Production Scheduler is responsible for providing daily support to the manufacturing floor by implementing orders generated by Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and/or the demand-pull system. They will also order raw material and purchased parts to maintain the plant\'s sales plan and implement the Master Schedule and SIOP system to support the plant\'s sales plan, marketing forecast, manufacturing plan, and customer demands. Additionally, they will provide leadership and guidance to their supply chain and manufacturing team and maintain manufacturing system ownership. On-time delivery and Inventory goals are the primary focus.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and allocate materials based on prescribed methodology and ABC strategy to provide timely delivery to customers
  • Execute weekly cycle of release, expedite, and review of production requirements to support manufacturing requirements
  • Drive part deliveries to minimize part shortages while supporting JIT philosophy
  • Provide supplier forecasting information from SIOP forecast where required
  • Manage and maintain MRP parameters to meet ABC strategy
  • Communicate and resolve supplier problems to maintain relationships and production requirements
  • Manage timely release of Work Orders for shop floor to balance dual objectives of maintaining high OTD to customers and keeping WIP and FG inventory to planned levels
  • Analyze inventory levels and meet DOH objectives through ABC strategy
  • Actively support timely disposition of deviated materials and return-to-vendor of defective parts
  • Manage cycle count, inventory adjustments, and root cause analysis to prevent inventory errors
  • Review Excess and Obsolete FG/component material for possible conversion or scrap
  • Participate in Eaton continuous improvement programs and actively seek continuous improvement opportunities
  • Support plant lean, safety, quality and continuous improvement efforts
Background & Skills

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s Degree
  • Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Preferred qualifications
  • 3 years of experience in one or more (or a combination of) the following functional areas: Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Materials Management, or Logistics
  • Buying, planning, scheduling experience
  • Practical understanding of SIOP driven Materials Management including forecasting, scheduling, capacity analysis and inventory management
  • MRP systems knowledge
