An exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced Product Manager to join Servomex, the world leader in gas analysis and part of the FTSE 250 Spectris Group on the London Stock Exchange.

The Product Manager will be responsible for the global management of the Servomex \xe2\x80\x98DF\xe2\x80\x99 & \xe2\x80\x98NGI\xe2\x80\x99 product lines and future products being brought into the US Technical Center based in Woburn, MA. The successful candidate will also manage overall growth of the products in the Industrial Gas (IG) and Semi market sectors globally. Additionally, they will function as a member of the IG and Semi marketing team working closely with other Product Managers and Market Managers globally.

About the Opportunity:

  • To manage the product life cycle, from product definition through to its elimination, in order to generate top line sales growth and maximize profitability.
  • To understand the target markets and competitors, and track market trends to ensure continued competitiveness of the product range.
  • To lead the launch of new semiconductor products globally.
  • To work with key accounts closely for \xe2\x80\x98DF\xe2\x80\x99 & \xe2\x80\x98NGI\xe2\x80\x99 product position therein and maintain effective Voice of Customer (VOC) network.
  • To provide direction and direct support to the Global Regional Sales and Service teams to achieve the targets for sales and profitability as agreed with the Regional General Managers.
  • To ensure that all sustaining engineering requirements are properly prioritized and executed to the highest standards and timeliness.
  • To identify product enhancement/new product development and provide input to the New Product Development (NPD) process.
  • Guide the marketing communications team in respect of generation of sales support and training materials, website, campaign collateral, creative design, PR etc.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Teams to set priorities and improvement projects aimed at ensuring customer service levels, and manufacturing costs are fully competitive.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Quality to ensure all products are designed and operating to the highest standards required by market sector customers.
  • To develop and maintain supportive tools and collateral, ensure relevant sales channels are equipped and trained.
  • To work with regional team on planning and execution of advertising, marketing programs, customer seminars, training programs and other events.
About your Talent:

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • A proven track record of performing in a similar role of Product Specialist, Product Manager, and/or Technical Sales role within gas analysis or closely related industry
  • Be personally energetic, positive, and enthusiastic and possess the ability to think laterally and act through reasoned decision making
  • Solid experience / expertise of NPD within related product lines
  • Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to interface, influence and communicate effectively with all levels of employees/stakeholders as well as executive leadership
  • The successful candidate must also demonstrate the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams as well as lead team projects
Essential Education:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree (or equivalent) in an Engineering / Scientific or closely related discipline
