Term: 12 months - High potential to extend or convert to FTE 100% remote. Hours: Mon-Friday - 8-5pm Competitive Hourly pay + benefits Position Summary: Job Summary: As an IT Support Print Technology Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users with printer-related issues. You will troubleshoot and resolve printer-related problems, provide training and guidance to users, and maintain and manage printers and related hardware. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to help desk calls and emails regarding printer issues and provide technical support to end-users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve printer-related problems, including hardware and software issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain printers, scanners, and other related hardware.
  • Provide training and guidance to users on how to use printers and related software.
  • Create and maintain documentation for printer-related issues and solutions.
  • Collaborate with other IT support staff and vendor support teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Ensure that printers are updated with the latest firmware and drivers.
  • Manage printer queues and printer permissions.
  • Assist in managing the inventory of printers and related hardware.
  • Stay up to date with the latest printer technologies and industry trends.
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and accomplish IT Support service tasks involving inventory, system installations, network implementations, and miscellaneous tasks related to IT Support. Competencies:
  • Oral Comprehension: The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. You will need to be able to talk with requesters that may not understand IT vocabulary and assist in making a clear service request.
  • Oral Expression: The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.

  • Written Expression: The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.

  • Personality to work with a variety of colleagues and internal customers in a very open communication environment

Education & Qualifications/Training: Education:
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Preferred Certifications
    • CompTIA A+
    • CompTIA Network+
    • MCITP
Training:
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in printer support.
  • Experience with printer hardware and software, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and remote desktop support.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy printers and equipment.
  • Knowledge of printer security and data protection is a plus.
  • Certifications a plus but not required.
