Position Summary:
The Information Technology Specialist will a) Manage NYU Wagner\xe2\x80\x99s IT operations including academic/instructional and business computing needs; b) Analyze and respond to the technological needs of the School and manage projects that meet those needs; c) Provide high\xe2\x80\x93level troubleshooting and solutions for IT support issues related to computer devices, printers, and video conferencing systems; d) Manage the administration of endpoint patching and vulnerability analysis to remediate risk; e) Serve as primary training representative for the Information Technology department and promote best practices in security; f) Partner with consultants, vendors, and IT departments to resolve technical, operational and security needs.

Required Education:
Bachelor\'s Degree

Preferred Education:
Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Master of Science in Information Systems

Required Experience:
2 + years experience related to desktop support issues, unified endpoint security and management systems, and video conferencing systems. Candidate must have experience with Windows, Apple, and Linux operating systems; MS Office; computer hardware maintenance; desktop support concepts; virus and spyware protection, managed software installation; printer/scanner synchronization; mobile device configuration; network and user account administration; and Windows back-up, recovery, and restoration.

Preferred Experience:
3+ years experience with desktop support issues. Familiarity with endpoint detection, response, and vulnerability systems. Experience with Zoom video conferencing and Crestron multimedia systems.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to effectively integrate and manage complex projects. Capacity for flexible thinking with excellent analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills. Ability to negotiate conflict and maintain constructive working relationships with people at all levels of an organization, both inside and outside the University. A strong understanding of hardware, software, and endpoint management systems is required along with working knowledge of video conferencing systems. Strong team leadership and management skills including the ability to analyze trends and make recommendations. Effective communication and relationship-building skills with multiple constituencies.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Experience with Cortex Extended Detection and Response as a Service (XDRaaS), HCL BigFix Endpoint Management, VMWare Workspace One Modern Device Management, and Rapid 7 InsightVM Vulnerablity Management Additional Information:
In compliance with NYC\'s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $74,250.00 to USD $90,750.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate\'s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
