Position: Pit Master (Experience REQUIRED)
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay: DOE (Depending on Experience)
Location: On-site, Ogden, Utah
You MUST Have:
Extensive, hands-on Pit Master experience
(This is not a trainee role)
Deep knowledge of smoke control, wood selection, and cook timing
Proven track record of consistent results with brisket, ribs, pork, chicken, sausage, and more
Experience managing large-volume BBQ service under pressure
Command of food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen operations
Strong leadership in a BBQ setting -- training others, managing the pit, and keeping standards high
What You'll Be Doing:
Run the pit from prep to plate -- fire control, meat trimming, smoking, carving
Maintain product quality and consistency through all shifts
Coordinate with back and front of house to ensure service is fast and flawless
Lead the pit team, manage pace, and troubleshoot problems on the fly
Represent the pride and craft of Steve's Black Sabbath BBQ in every plate served
