EVENTS COORDINATOR

The PHASE Alliance is a collaboration between three leading non-profits-Malouf Foundation / Elizabeth Smart Foundation / Fight the New Drug.

Position Summary
The Events Coordinator is responsible for the organization\xe2\x80\x99s annual events calendar and strategy and implements all events as a member of the Fund Development team at PHASE Alliance. The Events Coordinator plays a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events for PHASE Alliance and respective entities. This individual will be responsible for creating impactful experiences to engage the community, raise awareness, and support fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events, including fundraisers, community outreach programs, and donor events.
  • Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, catering, audio-visual requirements, and other event-related details.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align events with organizational goals and messaging.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, sponsors, and volunteers to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Work closely with the fundraising team to integrate events into overall fundraising strategies.
  • Explore creative ways to maximize revenue generation through events and donor engagement.
  • Develop promotional materials and strategies to publicize events and increase attendance.
  • Utilize social media, email campaigns, and other channels to create awareness and excitement around upcoming events.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.
  • Track expenses and provide regular updates on budget status.
  • Conduct evaluations and gather feedback and insights to assess success, improve future events, and enhance the overall attendee experience.

Reports to

The Events Coordinator reports to the Director of Development.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven experience (2+years) in event planning and coordination, preferably in a nonprofit or community-focused setting.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in a related field.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and responsibilities with a sense of calm and confidence.
Familiarity and experience with fundraising concepts and strategies.
