Job Description



We are seeking an experienced Intake Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a medical background and be able to provide accurate and efficient data entry as well as attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a confidential list of available services and programs for new patients.
  • Be on call to handle crises after hours.
  • Manage call volume to ensure that patients are directed to the proper resources for their needs.
  • Oversee staff working the telephone lines and triage calls received.
  • Receive, record, and respond to phone messages received.
  • Provide information to patients and other staff members regarding community resources.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with patients, family members, and other healthcare providers.
  • Assume responsibility for the overall operation of specific duties of the department.
  • Process referrals, verify benefits, and schedule patients
  • Filing and charting.
  • Assisting therapy team members by faxing referrals
