PARKING ENFORCEMENT OFFICER I The City of Harrisburg is currently accepting applications for the position of Parking Enforcement Officer I in the Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Police. This is a civilian uniformed position supportive of police services. Work as a Parking Enforcement Officer I involves, but is not limited to, the following: issues parking tickets and/or traffic citations city-wide; testifies at court proceedings regarding issuance of tickets and/or citations; places and removes vehicle boots as directed; observes and reports problems relative to non-compliance in Residential Permit Parking Zones and related matters; and posts and removes temporary parking restrictions as directed. This position is accountable to and reports directly to the Administrator of the Unit. Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Pennsylvania Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License, Class C. Compensation & Benefits The City of Harrisburg offers an annual starting salary of $38,161.00. This full-time FLSA position also includes an excellent benefits package: defined pension plan, paid holidays, paid time off (vacation, sick and personal time) and health care benefits (medical, dental, prescription and vision).
