Job Description


The Operations Systems Manager is responsible for managing a team of operations systems analysts that gather data requirements across several disparate systems and compile them into a comprehensive functional set of requirements for presentation to internal and external stakeholders. This role will require oversight and accountability of multiple, concurrent implementation/enhancement projects with high degrees of complexity at any given time. The Operations Systems Manager will interact heavily with internal/external project teams & leaders, serving as a point of escalation when necessary and therefore will require strong communication skills. The Operations Systems Manager is expected to facilitate problem solving and data architecture/design in in high complexity implementation/enhancement projects as needed and will require subject matter expertise in relevant systems/data exchanges. The Operations Systems Manager is expected to foster individual and team growth through individual & team training, individual & team meetings, and career goal planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide oversight and accountability for multiple, concurrent implementation/enhancement projects with high degrees of complexity at any given time
  • Provide guidance in implementation/enhancement activities such as requirements gathering, technical writing, system analysis, data design, data validation, application testing, monitoring of deliverables/tasks, post launch warranty
  • Facilitate problem solving and data architecture/design in in high complexity implementation/enhancement projects, as needed
  • Serve as point of escalation to internal/external leadership teams
  • Provide oversight for high value data COE process improvement projects
  • Provide leadership and training to team necessary to execute on projects
  • Fosters individual and team growth through 1-on-1 meetings, team meetings and career goal planning
  • Intake and prioritize project work for the team, removing roadblocks as necessary
  • Deliver key performance metrics, dashboards, reporting to relevant stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor\'s degree
  • 3+ years of management experience and/or 5+ years of system/data analysis experience with leadership potential
  • Ability to manage team of 2+ employees
  • Communicate effectively; across multiple departments and to leadership as necessary
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills and understanding of conditional logic
  • Demonstrate general understanding of Agile Methodology
  • Demonstrate knowledge of end-to-end member, provider, authorization and other ancillary data exchanges
  • Demonstrate knowledge of healthcare industry data standards and formats \xe2\x80\x93 X12, HL7, FHIR, etc. JSON, XML, Custom Delimited, etc.
  • Software Proficiency: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Visio, MS One Note, MS SQL Server Management Studio, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, Notepad++
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
