Job Description


eviCore Healthcare is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager. This role requires technical knowledge, relationship building, and the ability to lead engineering teams toward multiple objectives while adjusting to accommodate emerging business opportunities. The successful candidate will be able to showcase engineering best practices related to the Microsoft technology stack and have a history of implementing complex programs. This individual is passionate about the disciplines and investment in building team members\' skills and capabilities. They enjoy working in agile and versatile environments - are open to change and love the fast pace. Also, this individual must identify and champion opportunities to expand the product while delivering business requirements to external and internal consumers.

Our EviCore products are designed to form the backbone that powers our business. The footprint includes multiple domains across Client, Provider, Member, Agent, Administrative, Clinical, and Compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Technology leader overseeing the delivery of eviCore products
  • Drive consistent, reliable, and scalable solutions.
  • Through mentoring, coaching, and training, build up teams to deliver high-quality value against aggressive schedules
  • Set goals that align with product visions, and releases & sprint goals and encourage collaboration, growth, and innovation
  • Partner with Product Owners, Scrum masters, Architecture, and peer software engineering organizations to create strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Own initiatives to drive improvement and success
  • Promote Technical standards and Deliver Quality Software\'s
  • Lead and encourage team members to lead in building awareness and increasing skills through lunch & learn, book clubs, workshops, and formal training sessions
  • Attract, recruit, manage, develop, and retain talented team members, including hiring and growing employees and effectively using consultants.
  • Be a trusted advisor and partner with key Business and Technology leaders.
  • Act as a servant leader to a team of software engineers following Agile practices
Required Skills
  • 8+ years of technology experience
  • 3+ years of prior leadership experience, explicitly leading a team of high-performing software engineers.
  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus
  • Ability to think critically and constructively about complex business and technical problems, clearly communicate analysis, and present solutions to address the skill development needs of team members
  • Background in Microsoft Tech stack with a history of leading the execution and launch of high-profile initiatives.
  • Ability to coach, counsel, and motivate others
  • Ability to develop clearly defined metrics and critical agility indicators that will help to keep track of team(s) progress
  • Experience working in technology and with clients and business partners.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operations
  • Well-developed communication (written, verbal, presentation) skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of employees/clients.
  • Good knowledge of Agile methodologies/framework
