Our Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Product Manager for our Richelieu\'s line of panel products, including hardwood panels, plywood, MDF, melamine, and TFL.

Key Responsibilities

The Product Manager will be responsible for the creation and development of their product line. This person will be expected to increase sales and market penetration of their categories by engaging the Richelieu sales force and helping them achieve revenue budget targets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and coordinating the marketing of its product range
  • Following established marketing procedures
  • Directing marketing efforts, handling document management, and launching new products or new catalogues for its product line
  • Identifying the target market and opportunities; selecting products and suppliers and serving as the main point of contact for vendors, communicating expectations and managing their performance
  • Providing suitable and timely training on a continual basis to the sales team by creating and executing a training program and attending local/regional sales meetings to impart product knowledge to the sales force
  • Developing sales strategies, by creating a marketing action plan, assisting with sales presentations to customers, and optimizing the financial performance of the panel product range (including margin, product obsolescence, product activation and discontinuation, etc.)
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor\'s degree or higher, ideally in marketing or related field
  • Three (3) years of experience in project and product management
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
  • Outstanding negotiator who can generate high sales and margins
  • Innovative leader in the panels and building materials market
  • Strong ability to motivate and work with a team, especially supporting sales team members
  • Good analytical and planning skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to utilize the Microsoft Office suite for daily responsibilities and tasks; specifically must have advanced Excel skills
  • Willing to travel as needed (likely ranging from about 20-30% travel)
