Job Summary:
Are you a hunter who thrives on face-to-face interaction and loves the thrill of the chase? We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Market & Sales Specialist to be the frontline of our growth. This unique role is a 50/50 split between
strategic marketing execution
and
hands-on sales generation.
You won't just be handed leads--you'll be creating them. If you love variety, can manage your own schedule, and have the confidence to engage anyone, anywhere, this is your role.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Execution & Strategy (50%)
Develop and execute a quarterly
local marketing plan
targeting high-value neighborhoods and events.
Represent Steel City Solar at
home shows, fairs, and community events
(requires availability on weekends and evenings).
Manage and optimize local lead-generation campaigns (e.g., local digital ads, direct mail).
Analyze marketing campaign performance and report on ROI.
Direct Sales Generation (50%)
Door-to-Door Prospecting:
Engage homeowners in targeted areas, generating qualified appointments and direct sales.
Event Sales:
Convert high-intent prospects at events into signed contracts.
Lead Nurturing:
Follow up with inbound and self-generated leads to close sales.
Manage the full sales cycle from first contact to signed agreement.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Must be available to work a flexible schedule,
including 2-3 weekends per month for events and 2-3 evenings per week for door-knocking.
1+ years of experience in door-to-door sales, direct sales, or a similar high-engagement role (A plus, but not required)
Self-starter with proven ability to work independently and manage their own pipeline.
Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills--you can start a conversation with anyone.
Resilient, goal-oriented, and driven by competitive compensation.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
